On the first PPD lecture we think that "what is this subject?,waste of time,useless and etc".but after some lectures we feel that that is not useless that is very useful to us that is not the waste of time that is the wonder full lecture we ever had. after that we had a interest on it.and enjoy the activities.we learn a lot of things from this PPD lecture.

First one is Blog writing.the main thing in this session is we had to write blog about what we done on that day lecture in every lectures. before that we don't know how to create a blog,how to write a blog and how to maintain it.But now we know  all the things in blog.that is the first thing we achieved from PPD.

So we create our first blog with the heading that "About PPD in my point of View". and write on it what is PPD and what are the things we do on this session and what we learn from that what are the useful things in this session like this.

Next we did a activity called "Paper Tower". this  is a small game.we had to build a tower by using the papers which was given by our madam.and the tallest tower built team is the winner.So we learnt from this activity is we must have a proper plan to do some thing and team work.

The next activity is we all have to sit in everyone's lap and formed a circle and we asked to be in the same position until a time limit.that is very difficult game and we enjoy lot.from that we learnt that how to be patience.

Other activity is madam gave us two cups with some paper rolls and we have to pass the cups when madam knock on the desk the people who have the cups must select one paper roll and have to do the activity on that roll.We learnt that from this activity how to prepare ourselves within a short period of time.

After that we write a blog about "What I Learn from PPD". and what are the useful things we get from this sessions and etc.

Our next blog is about "University of Kelaniya". so we go arround our university and take photos and give introductions about that places in the blog.

Next activity is "Standing on the Paper". this is a nice game the thing is we all have to stand in on piece of paper in first round its easy but in second round its going hard because we had to fold  the paper in second round we had to fold continuously in flowing rounds.so we learn that from  this activity we must have a proper strategy and how to use limited resources and team work.

The next activity is "Lava River". in this game we have to cross the lava river by using paper plates. we cant put legs in lava river without the paper plate and we must keep all the paper plates with human touch if we loss the human touch we will loss that plate.that is very interesting game.and we learnt that we must have proper plan for do anything,how to use limited resources and leadership qualities.

Our next activity is "Egg Protector". here we have to make a protecting case for a egg by using some papers.when  the egg is fell down from a height that case must protect the egg from broke.its really nice and here also we learnt that we have a proper plan to do some thing.

Next activity is "Matches Puzzle". this is a puzzle game by using matches. in this activity we asked to make some patterns through some rules. that's really nice game.we learnt how to think differently and easily through this activity.

The next activity is a mind map about "My Goals". in this activity we have to make a mind map on our future goals under three categories.and we also have to do a presentation about it.from this activity we clearly know what are our goals and what we have to do for achieve them.

Our next activity is "Barter Puzzle". this is a puzzle game. in this game we can see a magazine page and after that cut that into small pieces and we have to re arrange that within a limited time.we learnt time management and team work and how analyze one thing and keep it on mind from this activity.

Final activity is "Leadership and Outward Bond Training". for this activity we visited to the Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee. that is the two day session. On first day we have some game type activities and evening made a camp fire and do some talent show. On second day we go through the forest and visited the Navy Museum.this is the great experience we got from this PPD session.we learnt leadership qualities through this activity and enjoyed the trip also.

These are the activities we did and these are the things we achieved form this PPD session.now we have Leadership qualities,Communication skills,Decision making talent,Self confidence,Team work,Creativity,Planing skills,Presentation skills,Public speaking,Time management and etc. these are very useful and essential things in our future carrier life.so I really like this PPD session and give a biggest salute for it.

On 9th of December 2017 we organize a Leadership and Outward Bond Training program. For that we visited to Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee.80 Software Engineering Students from first year and second year were participated in it and three lecturers had came with us.

First Day
We departed from the university at 3.30 by bus and have our breakfast on the way.We stopped the bus near a beautiful tank on the way and take photos.Then we continue our journey.

Near 10.30 we reached the Naval Dockyard and go to the accommodation place and change our cloths to suitable for programs.

After that we go for the lunch and one of the Navy officer gave us a brief introduction about the program. after that we went to a beach.We were separated into four groups and the activities were started.

First Activity
There is a wood frame were hanged and 8 members have to go from one side to other side without any touching or movements on that frame. So when one of us pass the square other members help to pass the square to him.So we learn how to work as a term through this activity.

Second Activity
Ten people from the group were participate in this game.One is the leader and other nine are the players.All nine have a small PVC pipe and stand in a line.Leader put a marble in the one side of the pipe and we have to pass the marble through nine people without drop that and we have to pass the end line.So we learn how to obey the leader's command and cooperate with others.

Third Activity
Ten people from the group played this game.We have to keep a brick without fell by our stomach and back and have to cross the end line.This activity teach us what is the Team Work.

Fourth Activity
This is the very interesting and funny game.A plastic pipe with some holes was given to us and we have to fill that.that is the game.We have to close one open end by keep that on one of our team members stomach.In our group i kept the pipe in my stomach. after that we can close other holes by other team member's hand and we have to fill that by carrying water from sea by our hands and mouth.it's very funny and we learn the Team Work from that.

Fifth Activity 
Its a volley ball but something different.four of us keep a cloth and one has to put the ball on it.and we have to throw the ball over the net and another one in other side of the net has catch the ball.This is really challenging game.we learn Team Work from it.

Sixth Activity
This is Tug of War.two teams were participated and winning team will play with other team.This is the very big lesson for us to learn team work.

Camp fire and Dinner
Near 6pm we return to accommodation and get ready for dinner in formal dress.after that we returned the same place and make a camp fire and do some activities like drama,singing songs and dance.
after that we had our dinner and returned to the accommodation place.

Second Day
On second day we got ready at near 7.30am and had our breakfast. After that we were divided into four groups.and the task is we have to go through the forest by using compass.it's really amazing and interesting.inside the forest one of the officer acted as a injured man so we have to act how to help him.that is very interesting also. finally we reached the destination and had a Tea.

 
After that we visited to the Navy Museum. that is very nice and interesting place.one of the officer explain all the things in there.That's a very nice experience to us and it helped us to know something about ships and other some sea related things.

after that we had our lunch in a place

Finally we thanked the Navy officers and near 3.30pm we leave from there and arrived our university.

We learn a lot of things about Leadership , Team work and etc.This trip is really good and big experience for us and we enjoyed very much.

This is a interesting puzzle game.first we were dived into groups and madam gave a magazine paper to each group and give us a five seconds to analyze that paper.after that she recollect that paper and cut that into hundred pieces with a different shapes.then madam collect ten pieces from each group and shuffle them and return to each groups.then she gave us fifteen minutes to rearrange the pieces and get the full paper as we show earlier.

That is very interesting and challenging game for us.from this game we learnt time balancing,how to protect our resources from external and internal factors and how to work as a group.

This is a individual activity.here we have to draw a mind map about our life goals on a bristle board. and we have to separate our goals into three parts like personal goals,academic goals and professional goals.

• within four years i will complete my bachelor degree and pass out from the university.
• after that i would like to do masters in computer science.

My Professional Goals

• within five years i have to get a job in a company and have to get experience.
• after that i will try to get a job in a biggest international company like microsoft,google,or like that something. if i can't i will start my own company.

After we make the mind map we have to hangup that in the class room and we have to give a presentation about our Goals.through this activity we clearly get to know what are our goals and what we have to do for achieve them.
