University of Kelaniya is the one of the government university in Sri Lanka. It was founded in1875 as the Vidyalankara Pirivena , after in 1959 become Vidyalankara Campus and in 1978 become as the University of Kelaniya.

Vision of the university is To become a centre of excellence in creation and dissemination of knowledge for sustainable development.

Mission of the University is To nurture intellectual citizens through creativity and innovation, who contribute to the national development.

The library has more than 239,800 collection of books.It opens from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.

Paper Tower

Paper Tower

Paper Tower is a small tower made by papers it is a good team work activity.

Things need for it : A4 papers-12 , sellotape-1 and scissor-1

8 people per group
time duration is 45 minutes

conditions : can't use another materials than given above , and the winning team will decided by the height and creativity and stability and straightness of the tower.

Our Experience in this game

Our time limit is 45 min to plan and discuss and build the tower , we can only use supplied materials , when the time end we must stop work and measure the height of tower and select the winner. and tower must standing straight and doesn't fall down.

In the beginning anyone in our group don't know how to make it.first we make a basement for the tower and after build the tower by using balance A4 papers by rolling them and stick by the sellotape. any how finally we made a paper tower.

we learn something from this activity like we must have a proper plan for do anything before start that work and Team work.
